Résumé: Domenico Crespi partecipated to the expedition of the Italian Navy 'Regia nave Piemonte' to Far East, mainly China and Japan, in 1902-1904.
During his travel he sent about 120 postcards to his young sister and brother, who lived in Alessandria (Italy). Paola, the sister, was at home sick, thus explains the particular kind register; while Pietro was chemist in the town.
