Nous reproduisons ici (Cf.T. II, fig.54, 56) deux photographies d’un criminel qu’on vient de lier au poteau pour lui couper les bras et les jambes et pour lui arracher la peau de la poitrine. Ses cheveux qui sont déjà hérissés quand on le lie le sont bien plus quand le supplice a commencé. ( fig.121 et 122).

Description: Here are presented again (Cf.T. II, fig.54, 56) two photographs of a criminal bound to the post to have his arms and legs cut off, and the skin of his chest flayed. His hair, which was already ruffled when he was bound, is all the more so once the torment has started (fig.121 and 122).
