Description: This is a terrorist bomber, very likely Wu Yue 吳樾, who attacked the delegation of five ministers on the 20 September 1905, while they were leaving Beijing for a broad tour in the West to observe constitutional regimes. The bomber was instantly killed, and his body hideously mangled was photographed, and later presented as the result of a lingchi execution, with captions such like "hacked in piece". The caption that accompanied this copy of the photograph more accurately presents "an anarchist killed by his own bomb".
