Comment: This is an extremely valuable, informative, pondered, and insightful description of Caishikou execution field, executions, crowd, soldiers, and executioners at work. Probably the most complete and faithful description, with Meadows' (q.v.) — but this one is in 1900 Beijing, while Meadows was in 1860 Guangdong.
