Description: These (modern) zha 铡guillotines are said to be the ones used by Judge Bao 包公to practice executions by yaozhan 腰斩 (waist cutting). They are kept in Judge Bao’s temple in Hefei 合肥. Judge Bao owns three zha: the dragon-head one is designed to punish relatives of the emperor; the tiger-head one is for guilty officials; the dog-head one is for commoners.
