Text_Interest: Description of an execution by a medical point of view.

Comment: The four pictures refer to the beheading of a Boxer, who was executed, quite certainly, on December 1900 and the related description is in the letter N. 32 writen in Peijing, the 3rd February 1901. Althought the captions on the pictures make reference the first to December 1900, and the other three to December 1901, it is quite sure that the event happened on December 1900, firstly because the letter was written on Febraury 1901, so he could not mention than an event on December 1900; moreover all four captions are mentioned in the same letter. Secondly comparing the pictures, we can notice that the condamned is very resembling in all four pictures. Finally in the first picture on the right side the last two (one and partially another one) soldiers of the Italian army are the same, who appear on the left side of the forth picture.
