Finalmente il condannato è morto, i colpi ripetuti dati sulla nuca hanno fratturato la colonna vertebrale, ma la sciabola di ferro, poco tagliente e troppo leggera non riesce a tagliare le parti molli dal di dietro all'innanzi. La vittima è stesa a terra, il boia forbisce la sciabola e si accinge a continuare la macabra operazione.
